SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR - RAIL - NORTH WEST - PERMANENT

*** Senior Quantity Surveyor required to join a well established Rail Contractor in the Manchester area ***

An excellent opportunity has come available for and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a leading Rail contractor based in Manchester, to assist with a large Network Rail framework. The work will involve assisting the current commercial team, and to contribute to profitable performance through the successful commercial and financial management of the Network Rail framework and specific projects in the specialised business unit.

Candidate requirements:

• Degree qualified in Commercial Management or Quantity Surveying
• RICS membership or required experience
• Able to manage various contracts simultaneously
• Must have experience of working for a main contractor, ideally within a rail setting

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Providing commercial support to site and contracts management team
• Presentation of all applications for payments
• Management of sub-contractors through to settlement of final accounts
• Oversee Quantity Surveyors and allow for necessary training and development
• Preparing monthly cost / value reconciliations and final cost / value forecasts
• Presentation of forward work schedules and cash flow
• Managing client relationships
• Ensuring all payments are received within the agreed contract terms
