Our client a globally renowned professional services company, is looking to hire an experienced and ambitious Senior Cost Manager to join its highly successful infrastructure team based out of one of its offices in the West of London on a permanent staff basis.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be required to manage the sub-programme contract commercial & cost activities providing for the appropriateness and viability of the contract commercial information.

The Senior Cost Manager will be required to perform the following tasks/duties;

- Support the procurement process to achieve best value through optimum delivery strategies into procurement plans and contract awards.
- Advice to team following tendering or negotiations to allow sound decision-making on supplier selection.
- Manage all post contract commercial activities supporting the implementation of contract changes, red files, instructed work scope change (PMIs), and award fees recommendations.
- Support project contractors in maintaining transparency and data integrity to minimise risks of inaccurate information.
- Manage the sub-programme potential liability through the timely response to all contractor notifications.
- Recommendations to approve Applications for Payment. - Proactive management of all contractual issues through to resolution, escalating disputes to the client as appropriate.
- Evaluation of cost impacts of alternate delivery strategies, inclusive of benchmark assessments, prior to their implementation.
- Support and guidance to the Cost & Commercial team as required.
- Manage all contract close out activities are performed in line with client contractual requirements.
- Support and encourage the development of appropriate sub-programme working practices.
- Work in adherence to the appropriate client processes and sub-programme working practices / processes.

Candidates will be required to have the following qualifications/experience;

- Extensive NEC Contract experience.
- Tendering support and procurement support.
- Target price negotiation.
- Contract change (EWN, PMI).
- Valuations.
- Payments.
- Disallowable costs.
- Claims.
- Previous infrastructure projects experience an advantage.
