I'm looking for Senior Quantity Surveyor's to join my client, a tier 1 contractor on a £400m tunnelling and marine project in the South West England. This is a freelance position which involves managing multiple packages including piling, groundworks, tunnelling and marine.
Location: South Wes London
Rate: dependant on exp.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing subcontract enquiries / quotation comparisons and subcontract documents.
- Assist in the commercial management of subcontractors, including processing payments once authorised by senior management.
- Assist in cost monitoring of site resources.
- Assist in the production of applications for payments in accordance with the conditions of the contract.
- Assist in providing commercial advice to the site team by advising and referral to more senior personnel.
- Take part in discussions concerning the performance of those elements of a project in which you are involved.
Candidate Requirements:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or similar / Equivalent HND (not necessary)
- Experience working with a tier 1 contractor
- Experience managing fit-out packages
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of NEC/JCT contracts
- Have a very good work ethic and be willing to work hard
