Key Experience

• Coastal Protection, Flood Defence or major Marine Civil engineering experience
• Degree or HNC/HND qualified in Quantity Surveying or relevant qualification and experience;
• Major Project Civil Engineering or Infrastructure experience;
• Previous Main Contracting and or Sub Contractor experience;
• Full project lifecycle experience, from subcontract procurement to final accounts;
• Chartered Membership of the RICS, ICES or CIOB would be an advantage, but not essential;

The Role

Excellent opportunity to work on one of the UK's largest Coastal Defence projects, valued at £ <phone number removed> +.

Working for the Principal Contractor and reporting into the MQS, you will be part of a core team responsible for the successful delivery of this high profile project.

You will be responsible for managing all costs relating to the project, from the initial calculations through to the final figures.

Able to demonstrate the ability to minimise costs and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality.

Experience of managing a small team of less experienced commercial staff as well as mentoring others on their journey to becoming professionally qualified.

Capable of delivering final prices for each of the packages of work drawn down from the overall project scope.
