About The Role

A diverse multidisciplinary business with an outstanding project portfolio, offering innovative engineering solutions. Right now, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor– which comes with flexible working and a range of benefits.

You will aim to reduce project costs and enhance profitability while maintaining the required quality and standards, including meeting the statutory building regulations. You will report directly to the Regional Commercial Manager. You will produce cost estimates of projects while they are in progress and be responsible of keeping track of any variations to the contract that could impact costs as well as producing profitability reports.

Due to this being a senior role, you will take a lead role in providing full commercial support to project delivery teams and portfolios for projects allocated to the Birmingham office. This position provides an excellent career progression with opportunity for the right candidate to develop into a Commercial Manager role.

About You

• Experience of project delivery principles, through either quantity surveying or project management routes.
• Good knowledge of project management /quantity surveying principles and standards, particularly cost control and contract administration.
• Good knowledge of safety standards is required as all employees have a duty of care.
• Experience of construction industry standard and/or Network Rail suite of contracts, with Particular benefit in knowledge of NEC 3 forms of contract.
• Good team worker able to interact with other teams within the company to ensure effective delivery of projects
• Self-motivated team player. Able to work independently with the minimum of supervision
• Working towards MRICS status.
• Degree educated or equivalent
