Our client are seeking a Topographical/Land Surveyor in Central Belt Scotland, and another in North West England, on permanent staff.
The role will involve field based data gathering plus office based processing to produce high quality, accurate surveys. You may need to work away from home and working alone will be required.
Responsibilities
Land and Utility Surveyors to deliver plans and reports to clients’ requirements
Production of survey plans and section drawings
Working in AutoCAD (or similar alternative) producing 2D and 3D models and composite drawings
Measured building surveys
Carrying out topographical surveys
Carrying out underground utility surveys and asset surveys
CAD drawing support including composite drawings
Client liaison and customer management
Emergency survey works if required
Skills and Competencies
Personal:
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Full clean driving Licence
Good understanding and use of AutoCAD
Good understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook and OneNote
Technical:
Experience with total station and GPS instrumentation
Experience of delivering a survey from field to office and processing the work on the AutoCAD in both 2D and 3D
Good knowledge and understanding of survey standards
Desirable
Working knowledge of Trimble survey equipment and Trimble business centre software.
