CANDIDATES MUST HAVE
• Good organisational skills An understanding of surveying theory
• Competent in using Total Station (Leica would be preferred but not limited to), Manual Levels, GPS Kits, Laser Levels etc.
• Understanding of techniques of topographical surveying, setting up control networks, traversing, etc
• Experience in setting out civil engineering works and willing to take on responsibilities of a setting out engineer when required on our projects.
• Must have experience in reading drawings and interpreting information.
• Good attention to detail when surveying and setting out.
• Computer literate – Microsoft office packages, spreadsheets, word documents etc.
• Experienced in the use of Autocad and LSS software to process works would be an advantage.
• Being efficient in carrying out track monitoring – from the initial setup of base readings right through to calculating final coordinates to produce an excel spreadsheet and emailing to clients.
• Experience working in UK engineering/rail industry (preferred but not essential).
• Must be prepared to work night shift and away from home from time to time.
