What can you bring to this role?

• Recently graduated from an Engineering degree: Civil Engineering, Architecture, Land Surveying, Surveying & Mapping Sciences, Geography etc.
• A couple of years’ experience out in the field on Utilities/Civil Engineering projects
• The desire to move into a different environment
• AutoCAD and surveying experience

What will you be doing as Junior Utilities Surveyor?

A normal week will be split working out on site and in the office; on an average of three days in and two days out on site. You’ll be slotting into a team of current Utility Surveyors that report into a Team Leader, investigating the utilities network, conducting surveys and identifying the most cost-effective method for the network to be connected to the new project. You’ll mainly be working with the connectivity of the Electrical network but if you’ve come from a background in water, gas or telecommunications, the role would be very similar. You’ll interpret laser scanning/radar detection results, using the findings to complete designs on AutoCAD for the Engineering Manager to send to the onsite teams who will complete the work.
