We are currently recruiting for a Construction Manager (Rail Stations) to fulfil the construction and project management component for the physical delivery of a Rail project in London.

The Construction Manager will have ultimate responsibility for the project delivery. The Construction Manager role ensures and enables the execution of the principal contractor / principal designer obligations, the planning, monitoring and management of construction activities and all Health and Safety aspects.

The Skill, Qualifications and Experience required by the Construction Manager (Rail Stations) will be as follows:

• Strong ability to manage a construction site. This includes all construction related activities, safety and quality aspects of the works.
• Considerable experience, preferably in a railway construction site or similar safety-conscious environment.
• Commercial awareness and an understanding or experience of NEC3 form of contract
• A good awareness of construction methods plant and equipment installation, finishes and systems integration.
• Be knowledgeable of the CDM Regulations as applied to the Design and Construction processes.
• Be knowledgeable of relevant British, European, LUL and Company Standards and the Reference/Working Manual.
• Experience of working on multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects.
• Experience of operating in a multi-contractor site environment.
• Experience of commissioning and handover of infrastructure assets for operational use and effective construction phasing.
• Experience of working in complex project management, safety focused and regulated organisation, where there are multiple, complex interfaces and delivering to time, budget and quality.

Please note that due to this being a public sector project this contract cannot be set up with a limited company or PSC. The two options for payment are Umbrella or PAYE.
