Construction Manager required for major rail client, dealing with a portfolio of railway asset management projects, based out of London Bridge, covering East of England. This is an initial 6 month contract role.
Working client-side, the Construction Manager will be involved in assisting with the Project Manager on the full cradle to grave project management process including pre-construction, determining scope, costs, and fundamentals are agreed. Beyond that, the Construction manager will have a high level of key stakeholder liaison activity including external stakeholders, contractors and employees. Safety is also key in all construction activity, so string background in safety management and awareness in rail sector would be required.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced rail construction manager to work client side, potentially with a view to gain more experience of wider 'cradle to grave' project management responsibility.
Successful candidate will have significant demonstrable rail construction management experience, ideally with engineering qualifications and some form of formal project management certification.
This role is for a public sector organisation, and has been determined Inside IR35 for Limited Company contractors.
