A leading Civils and Rail Engineering consultancy have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced and thorough Track / P-Way Project Engineer to join their project team to lead on the implementation of development and upgrade work to our national Rail networks. This long term interim contractual position offering form 3 to 5 days per week to be will be based in London.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Senior Management Engineering team, you the Project Engineer for Track renewals will be responsible for managing the affective planning and engineering activities of P-Way and related infrastructure development operations. As the Project Engineer for P-Way renewals you will be the strong technical lead and therefore accountable for identifying and resolving technical issues, reading and interpreting P-Way and other related Engineering drawings to be able to effectively create credible scoping plans to work towards and to be able to accept design documentations whilst assessing what Construction / Engineering techniques need to be utilised.

As the Project Engineer for P-Way renewals, you will manage the carrying out track surveys, liaising with the client s representatives, delivery partners and key stake holders alike and will produce and review method statements, RFI s and Risk Assessments and monitor QA and health and safety. You will be present in all progress meetings and collaboratively contribute to project production plans of progress reports.

Requirements:

It is envisaged that the successful Project Engineer for P-Way renewals will be adequately qualified within a Civils Engineering discipline and possess a strong work history in successfully and effectively delivering Track / P-Way renewals, installation and development projects, in both a light Rail and Heavy Rail environments.

You will be adept in the reading and interpreting Track / P-Way design drawings and survey reports

You will be familiar with Stressing and Tamping, P&C and S&C, also checking quality and ensuring that the laid down systems and processes are followed and complied

Being the appointed P-Way Engineer you will possess strong working appreciation and knowledge gained within either NWR, LUL or DRL infrastructure, with strong understanding of related policies and procedures.
