Ford & Stanley - The Rail Recruitment Specialists are looking for a Civils biased Construction Manager who ideally has between 5 - 10 years of experience of working on major rail civils projects in the UK - Someone who has the experience to manage projects which are governed by major rail bodies and therefore need someone of strong will to be able to manage stakeholders at various levels.

You will have the opportunity to work with a reputable technology company who have a vast amount of experience of delivering network and telecommunications upgrade projects for the likes of Network Rail and London Underground.

You will need to be be self-motivated, proactive and be able to motivate staff around them with excellent man management and communication skills.

The successful candidate will provide specialist advice, coaching and practical support to the PMO and the Project teams during project lifecycles and activities. Provide Project support on location as required by the Project scope of requirements. Support a culture of continuous improvement

Role and Responsibilities

• Deliver allocated civils works to time, budget, quality and to resource plan
• To ensure all work is carried out in accordance to legislative and company procedures
• Effective management of Civils resources - people, time, plant, materials and subcontractors, including the line management of the civils staff, facilitating successful project delivery by the Project Managers.
• Facilitate Inspection and Audit reviews to monitor compliance with safety requirements, technical specifications and client requirements

Education Level and/or Relevant Experience

• Minimum of 10 years on Site Construction experience
• Minimum of 5 years' experience of delivering major Civil projects on the Network Rail infrastructure.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in Supervising Site Staff
• NEBOSH general certificate
• PTS/COSS
• SMSTS
