As a Senior Project Engineer (Track) your main responsibilities would be:
- Leading the Track engineering on the development phase of large multidisciplinary projects and applying system engineering practices where required. This includes identifying the interventions necessary to achieve operation output requirements and, timetable and capacity objectives.
- Leading the Track technical stakeholder management with Route Asset Management to obtain the necessary endorsement and or approvals.
- Leading the Track technical stakeholder management with Route Asset Management to obtain the necessary endorsement and or approvals.
- Lead the development of intervention assessments where required.
- Managing the Track and systems interfaces between projects.
- Providing technical assurance / approvals at GRIP/PACE stage gates and engineering Phase Gates.
You’ll have relevant experience in:
- Detailed knowledge of railway systems and disciplines (including the relationship between track signalling) in order to achieve whole system solutions.
- Significant experience in engineering disciplines, ideally with involvement in construction and design projects across multi discipline areas
- Experience of contracting
- Knowledge of structuring safety cases in support of projects
- Experience of large programmes/projects.
- Experience of leading railway engineering design & development works.
You will also have these Qualifications/Skills:
- Technical qualifications to at least HNC level or equivalent
- Membership of a relevant professional institution and preferably chartered.
