Track Consultant - London
We are working closely with a client of ours who are seeking a Track Consultant to assist in Bid Preparation for one of their multi discipline Bid teams on a contract basis.
This is a pivotal role within the Bid team as you will be involved from the project early on and if awarded will be pinnacle to it’s development going through the GRIP stages.
The candidate needs to have thorough experience of Track Systems, ideally experience of Design, Project engineering, Construction and possibly maintenance.
It would be a benefit if you have been signed off as a CRE or CEM and are Chartered.
On offer is a competitive day rate and a minimum of 6 months contract duration and continued involved within the project if the bid is successful.
Brief responsibilities include but aren’t limited to:
- Detailed understanding of the asset, its design and operation within the railway system
- Provide technical understanding and evaluation of system and asset failure modes
- Understanding of corrective and preventative maintenance techniques
- Knowledge of parameters used to measure condition and inspection techniques
- Meet appropriate stakeholders and identify measurement needs
- Understand asset performance and associated measurable parameters
- Design appropriate systems to record, transfer and store data
- Test and verify designs against real world use-cases
