Currently our client employs over 200 experts nationwide, offering a comprehensive construction & engineering service to their clients.

Due to our clients successful business development of recent months, and continued growth plans, this exciting opportunity has arisen. The day to day responsibilities of the role include production of top quality, innovative civil (structural) designs in accordance with the project and business requirements.

As a senior figure in the business, mentorship of CAD technicians and junior engineers will also be expected of the successful candidate.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• To manage, mentor and provide design/technical guidance to team members and other parts of the Aspin Group.
• Ensure designs are carried out to current codes of practice and safety standards.
• Undertake business development activities to bring in new work and new clients.
• To produce design, reports and calculations, meeting the project requirements for programme, budget and quality.
• Coordinate the production of detailed CAD drawings for issue.
• To visit sites and undertake surveys as required.
• Initiate, support or develop innovative services or products.
• May act as designer, checker or approver (depending on competence) as required by the project.
• May act as ‘Project Manager’ accountable for the successful delivery of the project.
• Liaise with other Professionals internally and externally, including Contractors, sub-Contractors and Clients.
• Attend and contribute to meetings both internal and external.
• Develop good working relationships with others based on technical excellence, professionalism and openness.
• Organise all relevant method statements and risk assessments in accordance with Construction regulations and health and safety policies.
• Help drive the business towards their aims for BIM
