Rail Systems Integration Manager - Malaysia

My client an international consultancy company is seeking a systems engineering and integration manager for a major project assignment in Malaysia.

Job Role / Responsibilities

- Coordinate with all key stakeholders to ensure the system integration and engineering is clearly identified and according to requirements.

- Ensure correct engineering design is being submitted in accordance to project requirements.

- Develop the integration strategy and planning for complex rail systems - (signalling, power, SCADA, telecoms, rolling stock, civils, track) of the rail project to ensure that those necessary interfaces activities can be accomplished in timely manner throughout the project life cycle.

- Interface with works package contractors and suppliers.

- Ensure the deliverables from the contractors meeting the contract's requirements and standards.

- Coordinate stakeholder engagement and integration to achieve programme objectives for scope, budget, schedule, quality, sustainability, legacy, etc

- Manage the contractors for timely implementation and verification of the system integration requirements and designs on site during the construction and testing and commissioning stages.

- Input into procurement documents for each work package.

- Be responsible for all technical aspects that may arise concerning System Integration Activities;

Requirements

- Degree - in relevant engineering discipline.

- 15-20+ years rail industry experience as a minimum.

- High degree of technical proficiency in design and construction of complex rail systems.

- Strong knowledge in modern railway systems and their alignment & integration.

- Knowledge of design and construction management aspects of Railway Projects including interface and coordination with Stakeholders.

- Able to communicate with different level of people in a multi-national project environment and motivate the project activities for timely delivery.

- Strong background in track and /or Power is desirable
