Job Title: Infrastructure Operations Manager
Location: Doncaster
Samuel Knight International are looking to recruiting for the position of an ‘Infrastructure Operations Manager’ for our reputable client.
Our client are a National brand in the rail industry who are pioneers in the service they deliver every day. As such we are seeking candidates who take pride in their work to ensure is safe and profitable in a focused market with a quality driven performance within the area of responsibility.
We are looking for someone who is capable of managing major yards and depots including 3rd party terminals to ensure the safe provision of reliable train and rail services.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure a maintenance plan and work together with the Locomotive and Rolling Stock Maintenance Teams to put it into practice
- Flow Management
- Performance Monitoring and Performance Support Tool
- Yard Management Marshalling and Planning
- Wagon/Short set/Cripple Management through working with the Rolling stock organisation teams
- Regular attendance at customer review meetings
- Ensure sufficient resources are in place for delivery plans
- Liaise with the Loading Standards Inspector for draft loading patterns and comparative load checks
- Contractor Management
- Management of Tenants and Property related workload within your area of responsibility
- Route learning through initial brief and final sign off
- Use the tools and techniques available to improve communication and engagement with our employees
- Promote a performance feedback culture
- Lead role throughout the Business Acceptance Procedure
- Attendance Management
- Manage compliance to safety critical medical standards including restrictions and applicable risk assessments
- Interviews and selection of new staff
- Conduct Employee Training needs analysis and progress review meetings
- Local site specific Training & Management of Mentors
- Optimisation of Employee workload through efficient planning
- Utilise Performance Management Centre’s to drive continuous improvement.
- Develop collaborative working relationships with Network Rail and participate at Safety & Performance meetings
- Local Inductions including Contractors, New Employees and Visitors
- 1st Line on call responsibility including initial investigations & Chain of Care
- Assist with Internal & External Audits and develop action plans to address non compliance
Experience:
- RIO Qualified
- Load Examiner
- Shunting Versatile / RST / PTS
- Assessor / Train the trainer
- Auto / Sidetipper Operator
