Rail & Operations Administrator

Location: Middlesex

Day Aggregates is one of the most successful suppliers of primary and recycled materials to the construction industry in the South East and supplies annually in excess of five million tonnes of material to the construction industry. The business operates 16 sites across Kent, Sussex, Surrey, London, Hampshire, Dorset and Gloucestershire with further expansion planned.

We are looking to recruit a full-time Rail & Operations Administrator to assist the Rail Coordinator and provide additional administration support to the Operations Department. This position is based at our Brentford Head Office and will report into the Rail Coordinator.

The successful candidate will be involved in the planning and scheduling of trains, order taking, invoice administration and preparation of statistical analysis.

Mandatory Skills:

• Intermediate level in MS Office Excel and Word

• Excellent administration skills, including time management and organisation

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise appropriately

• Good communication skills, both written and oral

Desirable Skills:

• Experience in the rail freight industry

• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Navision

Working hours: 35 hours per week Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm (including 1 hour unpaid lunch).
