We are recruiting a Vehicle Control Software Validation Engineer who will be responsible for software validation of the monitoring and control system of railway vehicles, and responsible for the operation and driving of the vehicle, traction equipment, power supply among other subsystems. Participation in the stages of implementation and verification and validation (in test bench) and in road tests with rail vehicles. Definition of functional and integration tests, Simulation of real equipment and systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• PLC code revisions
• Testing of modular functions
• Specification and execution Functionality test sequences
• Use of PLC, HMI and control equipment in the test bench
• Modeling of electrical diagrams and system functions (Traction, brake, Air conditioning, etc)
• Specification and execution of test sequence in vehicle simulators
• Participation in testing campaigns and validation of vehicle software on track

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

• PLC programming
• Knowledge of Electronics and Power Electronics
• Knowledge of regulations and processes for the management of the life cycle of a software product
• Development of software validation plans: functional testing and simulations
• Knowledge of simulation tools: Matlab / Simulink, Labview
• Knowledge of industrial buses and Networking
• Notions of Programming in C
• Desirable knowledge of requirements management tools
• Experience of more than 3 years in the validation of highly parameterizable software projects, destined to installations where multiple interfaces between teams are managed
• Knowledge in development processes, validation and integration SW / HW
• Related sectors: automotive, aeronautical, industrial with SCADA environments, etc
• Computer skills in Windows and Linux operating system at user level
• MS Office Package

PERSON PROFILE:

• Industrial Engineer (Automation and Control, Electrical) (recommended)
• IT Engineer
• Good communication skills in a multi-disciplinary group inside Engineering, and also with external suppliers
• Management in multiproject environment
• Ability to decide / prioritize in their scope of work in projects
• Resolution of incidents in line with priorities
• Attention to detail and methodical
• Multidisciplinary knowledge (so that it can assimilate the functionality of different systems
• Which are monitored and / or controlled via software)
• Organized and decisive person
• Good communication, integration and teamwork
• Spanish (proficiency) and medium to high level English language with medium German desirable
