Trainee Recruitment Consultant/Resourcer

Salary - £ <phone number removed> per annum (OTE of £35,000 per annum for your first year)

VGC Group are one of the top players in the supply of white and blue collar staff to major construction and infrastructure projects across the UK.

As a result, our technical recruitment team, VGC Personnel, are expanding. We are currently looking for a Trainee Recruitment Consultant to join our business and work on our contract recruitment team. A warm desk with a number of terms in place with Tier 1 clients.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Source new candidates from jobsites, social media and other platforms using local market knowledge
• Conducting the initial screening when dealing with new candidates, followed by registering the candidate to match the roles they are looking for
• Understand and manage candidates' aspirations to ensure they find the right role
• Focusing on candidate management throughout the recruitment process
• Making sure that the candidates and clients always receive a professional and comprehensive recruitment service
• Searching for and identifying job leads to pass to the relevant consultant
• Working towards and support with the growth of the business
• Maintaining a positive attitude in the work place

Develop into:

• Managing your own desk and be responsible for its growth in the contract market
• Growth on our existing client base within the permanent market
• Offering market insights to both clients and candidates
• Developing a business development strategy for new and current clients/sites
• Bring on new clients and work into the business
• Gain terms and places on preferred suppliers list for companies in our industry

Ingredients required to be successful in the role:

• Willingness to learn and a keen interest in the recruitment market
• Sales experience is beneficial
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with all stakeholders of the business
• Ability to operate under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines
