We have an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious individual to join one of the most progressive contracting organisations in the UK rail market to lead the growing signalling division in the position of Head of Signalling. With a combination of pipeline projects secured and processes established to deliver existing contracts, the platform is in place for the right person to develop and grow the division in line with the company strategic plans.
Role
We are seeking to appoint a Head of Signalling who will be an industry respected individual with the drive, ambition and commitment to grow an already well established rail sector.
You will have a proven track record working on medium to large projects in the UK, as well as a wide a varied amount of contacts who you can demonstrate the ability to business develop with. Reporting to the Rail Director, you will play a vital part in growing the business and have the opportunity to place your own vision into the future success.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Running the Signalling division, overseeing a team of managers and engineers, focusing on the delivery of the existing work bank
* Plan and execute a business development strategy for the future of the signalling division
* Take full P&L accountability for the division
* Identify new business opportunities and establish plans to deliver this
* Lead and manage the division in line with company development processes and identify areas of training for the management team
* Ensure full compliance to the company HSQE procedures whilst developing the division and delivering the current workload to the expected company and sector requirements
* Work closely with all areas of the business, utilising the existing processes and procedures
* Essential requirements:
* Vast experience of working in the UK rail signalling division
* Recent and significant experience of delivering major
* Experience of leading and growing rail teams
* Experience of leading multi-regional and multi-disciplinary teams
* Expert in your field as defined by clients, as well as being well known in the industry
* Confident to lead and present bids to clients at all levels
* Experience of business development, identifying opportunities and turning them into wins
* Be fully compliant to the UK rail standards
