Points Fitter (S&T4) - Signalling

Lead a team of skilled points fitters as required in the installation points equipment to a laid down standard of quality.

Key Objectives

• Plan and organize the installation activity to ensure specifications, design and materials requirements are actioned and the work is carried out to the standards and the timescale as specified in the Work Package Plan and Task Briefings
• Installation and set up of points operating equipment, backdrives and other associated equipment in accordance with Network Rail and company standards
• Carry out point inspections and sign off completion/inspection records
• Complete/sign off work allocation forms and report site progress as required
• Ensure the staff group is kept informed on any relevant information about the job including safety issues

Qualifications and experience required

• Hold or working towards Point Fitter and Team Leader IRSE Licenses
• Hold PTS, Lookout, COSS/IWA track safety competencies
• Hold or be willing to hold SMTH competence
• Proven experience of team leadership and influencing staff Previous experience of installation and construction activities associated with multiple types of points equipment with a thorough working knowledge of Network Rail installation standards
