We are dealing with major engineering consultancy who are looking to develop and expand their signaling design capabilities in Manchester, in which you could work on some of the UKs leading rail projects. As a Senior Signaling Design Engineer your typical duties, could include, but not limited to:
Providing professional signaling engineering services in support for rail projects covering early design development, option selection, single option development and detailed design stages (GRIP 1 to 5).
- Supporting Design Manager in the production and independent checking of signaling design reports.
- Producing signaling designs with minimal supervision.
- Carry out independent checks of signaling design using your prior knowledge and ensure it is within the budget provisions set for the work.
- Resource estimates with the Technical Discipline Lead/Head of Discipline for proposals and Projects.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a Signalling Design Office.
- Good knowledge of the signaling principles, circuit detailed design and signaling standards.
- Good team skills to manage team and workload to meet the project timescales and budgets.
- Good communication skills to communicate with managers and other engineers across all rail disciplines.
- Good Digital literacy will be necessary when using Bentley MicroStation CAD Software for signaling production.
Current and in date IRSE Licences:
- IRSE Signalling Designer License 1.1.510 (Essential)
- IRSE Signalling Principles Designer License 1.1.550 (Desirable)
- IRSE Signalling Design Verifier License 1.1.160 (Desirable)
