Join a tier one signalling contractor as a signalling designer working on some of the biggest and most exciting projects in the UK. Due to the company's massive growth and huge amount of work, they are looking to grow their engineering team and develop them into more experienced and senior positions. For this role you must have worked in signalling design before.

RESPONSIBILITIES
* Producing safety related Signalling design deliverables in accordance with project programme, budgetary and technical requirements
* Producing safety related Signalling design deliverables in accordance with appropriate railway standards, technical constraints, health and safety legislation, Alstom company procedures, CDM Regulations, and CSM procedures
* Development of generic design solutions to meet Signalling requirements
* Identify and capture Signalling requirements
* Support the Responsible Engineer with the identification of operational risks, construction risk, maintenance risk and system risk within design
* Identify best practice signalling processes as part of a continual improvement plan to increase efficiency and minimize cost of non-quality and technical / delivery risk
* Taking reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and other persons who may be affected by your acts or omissions at work

POSTHOLDER REQUIREMENTS
Essential:
* Application of Signalling Design Process
* Application of CDM (Construction, Design and Management Regulations)
* Application of the RSSB (Rail Safety and Standards Board)
* Application of Network Rail Standards (or equivalent)
* Application of risk assessments
* Knowledge of CSM (Common Safety Method)
* Possesses effective communication skills
* Computer skills including CAD
* Able to produce electrical and electronic circuits, data sheets and specifications
* Time management and time keeping
* IRSE Assistant Design level minimum
