Job Title - Signalling Estimator

Rates - Day rate negotiable

About the role / project:
To undertake large and complex cost planning, quantification as appropriate and pre-contract estimates. Support post-contract analysis to develop the Business Plan, assist programme teams and support benchmarking.
To take a proactive role in developing and improving technical competence in estimating teams
What you will do:
Produce accurate and comprehensive estimates for large or complex new signalling programmes in a timely and efficient manner.
Produce / manage new signalling estimates with limited management or supervision
Control and manage the estimating process at project level
All estimates produce in accordance with relevant procedures and work instructions and other company procedures, systems (eg Candy) and processes
Apply and use of recognised, appropriate RMM rules in the preparation of estimates in all GRIP stages.
Your experience will include:
Signalling Estimating background
Wide and varied experience of new signalling system Level 2 / ETCS, (desirable)
Relevant successful experience of provision of estimating in all GRIP stages
Understanding of project management, planning, risk and investment processes.
Engineering knowledge and be able to challenge
Strong Influencing skills / Proactive / attention to detail / Presentation skills / Strong communication skills
