Global leader in the supply of world-class cutting edge technologies seek to employ two Rail Signalling Functional Testers who hold the 1.3.170 IRSE license to join their transportation team based in Central London. As a signalling tester you will be responsible to test signalling equipment compliant with current standards. You will also ensure the safe delivery of the component parts of a signalling scheme and be responsible to ensure that the work is completed compliant to the contract and to group standards.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Completes testing activities as directed by the TIC
  • Control the daily work in line with the T&C commissioning plan as dictated by daily work plan DTR or equivalent
  • Identify potential process improvements and make recommendations for implementation
  • Ensure safe system of work is maintained.
  • Completes testing activities as directed by the relevant site test team lead (SCS/SMC/VCC or External Interfaces).
  • Ensures correct test procedures are followed to complete allocated tasks.
  • Where appropriate ensures adequate safety arrangements are in place during testing activities.
  • Completes allocated testing activities in accordance with approved test procedures, test specifications and test plans.
  • Completes necessary testing documentation on completion of testing activities.
  • Participate in the preparation and review of testing documentation with particular emphasis on compliance to standards and London Underground practice.
  • Directs testing activities of any assistants that have been allocated to his /her tasks.

To be considered for the positions of Signalling Functional Tester candidates will hold a valid 1.3.170 IRSE license and have experience working in the UK rail market. You will have New Works Testing Module 3BL and Module 4. Accompanied you will have excellent communication skills and experience of using computer tools such as Microsoft Office Suite.

In return you will be offered a salary of up to £47,000 basic salary and 28 days holiday plus 8 Bank Holidays, 30% uplift for overtime and night shifts, Pension and other additional benefits.
