Opportunity for a Tester In Charge in Perth, Western Australia. Looking for a Tester In Charge within Rail Signalling to join a busy and fast paced WA market. The Infrastructure industry is booming and we are looking to bring over professionals in many areas but specifically Transport. $25billion worth of Roads and Rail projects have been committed to and underway over the next 3 years with an additional injection of a similar amount for the subsequent 3 years. Labour government is resulting in the Rail Industry as the big winner in all of this.

The Role:

Seeking a Tester In Charge for a leading Rail Engineering, construction and maintenance specialist. Your role will see you working on some of the major projects in Perth along with some key clients in regards to large scale asset maintenance upgrades. Your role will be responsible for the effective implementation of the formal inspection, testing and certification of the works and if you want you are able to travel across Australia to deliver projects in states such as VIC, NSW and QLD. Working in a dynamic environment, this organisation has a large order book across passenger, freight and heavy haul networks for the upgrade, renewals and major construction projects.

Key aspects would be:

1. Developing test and inspection plans
2. Review and auditing pre-test certificates
3. Controls and directs a team of testing engineers
4. Certification of site drawings and signal designs during the commissioning period
5. Responsible for overall control and implementation of the project
6. Conducts post commissioning reviews

Key Criteria

Criteria for this role includes:
• Extensive experience within the rail industry
• Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
• Experience and proven track record managing testing and commissioning activities
