Position: Sub Agent - Rail

Location: Braintree, Essex + daily travel to sites

Package: £40k - £45k, London Weighting Car Allowance, Pension, Healthcare, Travel

Our client who are a regional contractor, are looking for a Sub Agent to join their team in Braintree. You will be reporting into a Project Manager and be expected to travel to sites across Anglia, Essex and London.

The successful candidate will be a degree qualified Civil Engineer who has worked on civil rail projects and can understand the processes, standards and regulations within the world of rail.

The projects will predominantly be civils maintenance works within a Rail environment.

The works include refurbishments of train stations, footbridges, strengthening works to bridges and earth works. The typical value will be between £200k - £2m and the successful Sub Agent will be used to working on projects of this size.

As a Sub Agent you must be able to:

• Oversee all construction elements on site
• Foresee and raise any potential issues that could impact the project / programme
• Report directly into the Project Manager
• Take full responsibility for section of works
• Manage site works
• Write / Review Work Package Plans
• Update programme
• Attend progress / design / integration meetings

To do this role you must have:

• Experience on rail (essential)
• Civil Engineering Degree / HNC / HND
• CSCS
• SMSTS or SSSTS
