Purpose of the Job
The Senior Agent for the C695 Plumstead Maintenance Facility will manage the team responsible for the delivery of the Building and Civils Works.
As a member of the Contractor's team you will be responsible for managing the delivery, monitoring and manage the tier 2 supply chain building and civil engineering contractors through procurement, construction, quality assurance and handover on this >£25M project. As part of the team you will be reporting to the Project Manager and will take a lead role in the Civils and Building Fit out and MEP team.
You will have a clear understanding of both have building and fit out as well as civils experience.
Responsibilities
* Management of Health & Safety gained within a Crossrail operational environment including environmental issues to ensure construction phases are safe and in compliance with the Client and requirements and environmental considerations and mitigations are fully implemented
* Take a lead role in the safe planning and delivery of project works, including facilitating risk workshops, reviewing suppliers Risk Assessments and Method Statements, undertaking safety inspections and engaging with site staff.
* Deliver a quality product by ensuring that works are suitably planned and executed to the project quality requirements, including the development of ITPs and management of the quality processes on site.
* Ensure that works are suitably planned, resourced, and delivered within accordance with the approved programme, reporting on progress, identifying opportunities for betterment throughout the preconstruction and construction phases to include project closeout
* Provide input into the preconstruction activities, including buildability reviews and interrogation of design information, providing feedback on the suitability of the information provided.
* Manage the design interface of works in progress, identifying changes and resolving design related issues
* Plan and manage interfaces between parties to ensure that the project momentum is maintained and that work space conflicts are avoided/resolved.
* Manage the performance of suppliers and subcontractors, challenging and resolving performance issues.
* Experience of working within a collaborative environment particularly with Crossrail on NEC Target Cost contracts. Experience of using the NEC suite of contracts
* Engage in the professional development of self and others.
* Awareness of CDM responsibilities as Principal Contractor and HSE statutory legislation
* Ability to engage with and review designs including management of the design deliverables programme
* Ability to engage with third party interfaces including external stakeholders, co-coordinating works within both the main site and adjacent 3rd party sites
* An ability to assess and manage operational and stakeholder risks and to recommend mitigation measures
* An ability to accurately and clearly define scope split between parties to successfully integrate differing scopes
* Ensuring the policies and processes are followed during the execution of the project including implementing and assisting in management audits
* Highlight and manage change, Early Warnings and Compensation Events with the commercial team as they arise in accordance with the contract.
* Manage and coordinate works with the MEP installation working closely with our MEP sub contractor
