A once in a lifetime opportunity for a Senior Site Agent or Project Manager to join a leading and thriving contractor as part of their highways division, as they make a start on one of the UK’s largest highways schemes!

THE COMPANY

Our client is a leading construction contractor, with a compelling reputation for successfully delivering building and infrastructure works across the UK with a turnover of over £2.5 billion. They boast a heavy presence within construction operating across both the public and private sector, and with their successes have managed to increase their pipeline within infrastructure.

This is an exciting time to join this company as they make a start on their every-growing highways order book and are looking for a Site Agent or Project Manager to join the team, to work on a prestigious highways scheme in the Northamptonshire area!

THE ROLE

As an experienced Site Agent or Project Manager, you are going to be performing an important role as part of a core team, undertaking all supervisory duties including H&S, day to day construction processes, coordination of the team and sub-contractors, building relationships with all parties involved, advocate for staff training and needs, budgetary control, and above all delivering projects within time, budget and quality standards.

What makes this role unique as although you will form an integral part of the day-to-day delivery of the scheme, your role will be centred around value engineering. With the company having the commitment to deliver the project within a particular budget, your role will be fundamental in securing not only the success of this scheme, but also building the relationship with the client for the future!

You will need to be able to analyse a scheme and manipulate the value by either the function or reducing the cost. You will be sitting within ‘the read team’, which includes an Estimator, Quantity Surveyors and Sub Agent, allowing the right people and support to be available to you throughout the duration of the project. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

So, I bet you’re wondering if you’re the Senior Site Agent I’m looking for? From an experience perspective, you will need to have experience working on highways build projects – bridges, roundabouts, access roads, anything! You can have any highways construction experience given you are familiar with the challenges faced when creating new roads and can tackle any challenge face on.

For this role you will need to have had experience of value engineering, as this will define their success on the scheme and their work bank thereafter. Is this person you?

REQUIREMENTS

To be the Senior Site Agent I’m looking for, you’ll need minimum of a HNC in Civil Engineering and experience of highways build projects with a main contractor. You will also need to be an established Site Agent looking to step up or operating as a Project Manager within highways.

PACKAGE

My client is offering the right candidate a basic salary of £50-£60k depending on level and experience, plus a generous package including car or car allowance, pension, 28 days’ holiday (+ bank) and much more!
