Site Agent in Conwy, North Wales, United Kingdom

Site Agent
North Wales

You could get the chance to make a name for yourself and build a specialist water division for a highly respected civil engineering company in the UK!

THE COMPANY

My client is a family owned, multi-disciplinary civil engineering and groundworkers contractor who have been operating in various sectors such as rail, highways, water, utilities and construction for over 40 years. They’re currently seeing a sustainable turnover of around £30million, supported by significant framework awards within the highways and water sectors.

Due to winning work on a water framework, they are now looking to add two Site Agents to the team to cover the North Wales patch!

IDEAL CANDIDATE

So, what would make you perfect for the role? My client pride themselves as being a company where everyone is there to support each other – come rain or shine everyone mucks in to get the job done and boasts a tight-knit culture. So, if you’re more of a person to keep their head down until home time and shies away from building long lasting relationships with your team, then this isn’t the company for you.

Obviously, experience is important as well so you will need to have worked on water projects throughout your career and are confident – and have the evidence to prove - you can fulfil a Site Agent position. However, what is non-negotiable in this role is getting the culture fit right!

ABOUT THE JOB

As an experienced Site Agent, you will already know what will be expected of you in terms of roles and responsibilities. The work you will be involved in can include reactive maintenance work, or planned repairs and improvements. As you’ll be overseeing the civils elements, you will be responsible for programming and delivering excavation of the earth surrounding the water pipes, and then rebuilding once completed – whether this be in the middle of a field or in the heart of a town centre!

This role comes with lots of variety and is a fast-paced environment, so may not suit someone who has been on huge schemes of work – however if you’re looking for a change and want to get your teeth stuck in to the challenge of organising and completing work within tight deadlines, then I still want to hear from you!

REQUIREMENTS

To be considered for this role, you must have experience working within water and have experience at Site Agent level – or if you’re an established Sub Agent looking for a step up with stacks of water experience.

You don’t necessarily need to have a formal qualification, although this would be a strong preference, however must have SMSTS and CSCS, and a full UK driving licence.

PACKAGE

My client is offering a basic salary of £43k - £46k depending on your experience, plus a car or car allowance and all the bells and whistles to be expected of a company of this size.
