Role and Responsibilities
The site supervisor will work as part of the evo rail team in delivering and maintaining high quality on track, station and on train infrastructure so as to enable wireless broadband connectivity to rail operators and their customers.
The Site Supervisor will be expected to work on site in order to oversee our site constructions and train installations and to ensure that those are done safely, efficiently and to a high quality; as well, to be part of a team contributing to innovating, developing and operating world leading rail 5G connectivity.
Furthermore, the site supervisor will be expected to support deployments in various countries, not just the UK.
Key elements of the role:
• Assist in the detailed planning and execution of evo rail infrastructure installations on track and on train.
• Champion health and safety in all that evo rail does from design through to delivery and maintenance
• Responsible for directing the activities of Contractors carrying out work and liaising with NR and train operators to ensure timeliness of scope of work is met
• Support and undertake track side survey work to enable planning of evo-rail services
• Ensure agreed performance and other KPI's are met including targets for all works
• Ensure compliance with all relevant rules, safety legislation and regulations
• Responsible for ensuring all works undertaken complies with contract specifications and infrastructure standards.
• Contribute to necessary reports on work and chair/attend meeting with stakeholders involved in delivery.
• Undertake safety inspections and accident or incident investigations and be a champion for safety
• Some small Maintenance support activities onsite (e.g. replacement of components)
• Contribute to the creation and updating of policies and procedures
Qualifications and Education Requirements
• Minimum 3-5 year experience of rail industry site supervision
• Individual Working Alone certified- preferred
• PTS / Sentinel Card, COSS, SSSTS
Preferred Skills
• Excellent health and safety awareness
• Strong leader with a focus on quality
• Civil engineering experience ideally relating to mobile network infrastructure and railways.
• Management of all necessary paperwork including production of own reports to a high standard (e.g. site surveys, safety related reports)
• Comfortable working with customers with confidence and respect.
• Experience of creating and maintaining processes and procedures
• Contribute to improving infrastructure design and deployment
• Good planning and project management skills.
• Strong understanding of Network Rail procedures and processes
• Ideally experience using CAD software
