One of the UK's leading Main Contractors has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Sub Agent to join their project team and assist in the delivery of a high profile rail projects. This is a technically challenging section of works involving the delivery of complex structural/bridge/viaduct work in and around operational rail. The businesses' objective is to build a core team and due to recent project wins they are seeking to appoint several Sub Agents to support projects in Reading.
This role would suit an individual with extensive rail knowledge. To be considered, you will be educated to HNC/HND/Degree level or equivalent, hold relevant vocational qualifications such as PTS card, CSCS, SMSTS, and First Aid and have a strong Main Contractor background.
Duties will include:
-Supervision of Site Engineers and Foremen
-Ensure that specification, drawings, contract and sub-contract documents contain sufficient, accurate information of construction of the works to proceed in accordance with the programme and sequence of operations
-Ensure that works are accurately and clearly set out before work is programmed to comment
-Communicate with foremen and gangers to ensure full understanding of information provided
-Confirm in writing and verbal instructions from RE's staff and maintain a comprehensive record of resources employed
-Check works are completed as required by the specification in terms of dimension and quality
-Ensure that company policies for temporary works and safety are complies with and are applied within the section and that works are structurally safe
-Prepare short-term programmes as required in conjunction with the Foremen
