THE CLIENT

Our client is a leading Civil Engineering contractor, operating within various sectors including rail, highways, structures, environmental and utilities for over 50 years. They currently operate nationwide, with a heavy presence in the Midlands and South, and have benefited from their fantastic reputation as they’re continually winning work to give them a full order book for 2018.

Due to company expansion, they’re setting up another team to be based out of their new office in Basingstoke, and you could just be the Site Engineer they’re looking for!

ABOUT THE JOB

As an experienced Site Engineer you’ll already be familiar with the daily responsibilities and what would be expected of you. The sites will be based anywhere between Basingstoke and Southampton, so you would be expected to travel to sites working on projects such as ground works and access roads, bridge refurbishments and 278 works within numerous sectors - so it’s fair to say this position comes with plenty of variety!

IDEAL CANDIDATE

So, what would make you ideal for this role? Well, you do need to have civil engineering experience and consider yourself as an “intermediate site engineer”. However, what will make my client fall head over heels for you would be your dedication and motivation to progress – they have taken a big leap in investing in opening a new office, which they wouldn’t have done if they weren’t incredibly serious about succeeding in this venture!

Ideally, you would be working for a Tier 2 company as the culture tends to be more hands on than a Tier 1, however if you’re looking for more accountability and to get stuck in but are with a Main Contractor, I still want to hear from you!

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

To be considered for this role, you must already be a Site Engineer working on Civil Engineering projects (278 works, bridge refurbishments, access roads etc.) and hold a HNC/HND/Degree in Civil Engineering. Also, due to the nature of the work, you must have a full UK driving licence.

PACKAGE

The company are offering the right candidate a basic salary upwards of £30k plus a company car or car allowance, and all the bells and whistles to be expected of a company of this size.
