Job Title: Site Engineer
Location: Melksham
Salary: £34,123 - £45,066 depending on skills and experience
Permanent | Full Time Hours | 37 hours per week
Our Role
As Site Engineer, reporting to the Project Manager, you'll be required to accurately set out the works in accordance with the design requirements and drawings ensuring that the works are constructed in accordance with specification and perform a technical, organisational and supervisory role on construction, temporary works and other site engineering projects.
You'll maintain high personal safety and environmental standards and actively promote a positive safety culture at all times, ensuring work is planned and managed effectively and within budget allowing time for independent checking where required. You'll ensure that the drawings and specification documents contain sufficient, accurate information for construction of the works and formally request any missing information in sufficient time to the programme to proceed without delay. You'll take the lead in promoting business development within the team and maintain good working relations with the client and their staff, contract designers and all stakeholders.
Your Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role you'll hold a relevant industry qualification such as HNC, HND or BEng. You'll have SMSTS, PTS and a relevant CSCS and a proven track record of setting out on high profile rail schemes with extensive site experience. A confident communicator, you should have excellent organisational skills and a flexible approach to work.
