Site Services Engineer in Widnes, Cheshire, United Kingdom
Rullion have an exciting opportunity for a Site Services Engineer to join a prestigious client based at their new technology facility in Widnes, Cheshire. This is a long-term contract, due to run until October 2019.
Start
We are aiming for the successful applicant to start at the beginning of June.
Hours & Rate of Pay
38 hours per week on an hourly rate of £18 per hour for all hours worked. There will also be an additional mileage rate of £0.45 per mile for business related travel between our client sites.
Note that this rate of pay is based on operating through a Limited Company.
Location
This role is based at a newly built facility in Widnes with excellent links by road to Liverpool, Warrington, Runcorn and the motorway system.
Qualifications & Experience Required
* This role requires the successful applicant to have a time-served apprenticeship with associated technical qualifications, such as ONC, HNC, City & Guilds or recognised equivalent.
* 17th Edition Wiring Regulations are desired.
* You should be electrically biased with some mechanical experience - excellent fault finding skills are essential.
* You would be expected to have knowledge and practical experience of plant and equipment.
* In addition, Plumbing/Carpentry/Bricklaying and general construction skills together with one of the above skills could also be advantageous.
Job Description
You would be required to work in accordance with the Site Services Managers instruction, requirements and guidance operating to Safe Working Practices and Instruction. You must comply with Health & Safety work instructions including H&S A.W. and C.O.S.H.H.
You are required to work to professional high standards to ensure servicing, repair of equipment and company assets are delivered in a timely manner. Improvements and cost savings should be identified in conjunction with the Site Services Manager. In addition, maintenance of clear and well documented records is essential.
You should be proactive, self-motivated and empowered to achieve the desired results and should adopt a flexible and supportive attitude towards the tasks in hand.
You should also be willing to respond to call-outs and breakdowns if required to do so, and to potentially perform cover duties to support other sites (exceptional or holiday cover!)
