This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring HSQE Manager to join a growing team.
  • Support the Directors and Head of HSQE in the development communication of company policies
  • Plan and complete safety & environmental tours/inspections on projects in the South and East of England and support responsible persons in the rectification and close out of all issues.
  • Act as Office Representative for all aspects of HSQE in the OSL Swindon office and any other offices identified by the HSQE Manager.
  • Ensure Industry and internal HSQE alerts, briefing and associated communications are cascaded to staff and contractors.
  • Support, maintain and help develop OSL Integrated Management System IMS).
  • Support the production of briefings and communication of new or changes to existing statutory legislation, industry standards and client requirements.
  • Support the HSQE Manager in the administration and management of Sentinel System
  • Provide HSQE advice and support to Directors, Managers, staff and contractors throughout the company
  • Provide HSQE advice and support to all staff engaged in Construction (Design & Management) based projects.
  • Provide and/or review HSQE documentation related to all COM based projects
  • Review and maintain records for all accidents and incidents and undertake enquiries and Investigations when required.
  • Undertake/ assist project staff in all necessary risk assessments. (Manual Handling, COSHH, DSE, Fire etc.)
  • Support and liaise with the Competence & Training Manager in the identification, planning and delivery of Safety Training for all OSL staff.
  • Support external and internal audits and resolution of NCRs.
  • Support review and management of all Sub-Contractor and Approved Supplier audits, register and associated issues.
  • Complete and or arrange necessary Health & Safety training in liaison with Training and HR Teams.
  • Ability to work on other special project teams when required .
  • Monitor and support the management and onsite employees in all aspects of working time and fatigue management.
  • Complete reports to HSQE Manager on a regular basis as required.
  • Monitor all H&S communications to all staff via company notice boards and emails.
Swindon Office with 1/2 days per week on Projects South and East of England.
