An opportunity is available for an experienced Bid Manager with relevant experience within the Rail Environment, working on SISS and Operational Telecom bids to join a leading global provider of communications and security solutions to businesses, industries and governments.

The Bid Manager will report to the Director of Sales Support and responsibilities include;
- Producing sales handover packs given to projects;
- Commercial compliancy and responsibility for bid construction;
- Ongoing technical review of supplier's responses;
- Ensuring that the Divisional Sales Managers project bid strategy is met
- Technical compliance of supplier's bids and companies proposal;
- Verification of overall technical design philosophy produced by bid engineers
- Supplier negotiation;
- Bid resource planning;
- Bid / No bid completion;
- Standardisation of Part numbering used within quotation.
The Bid Manager will have a high standard of writing for Technical Submissions with excellent grammar and language skills. They will perform well in a team environment and be able to work autonomously when required and have excellent organisational skills, the ability to prioritise and ability to work to strict deadlines. Due to the nature of the business, a sound technical and commercial knowledge is essential.
The Bid Manager will have a proven and successful track record of winning work in the infrastructure sector and ideally has excellent technical knowledge of multiple communication systems, technical knowledge of Network Rail specifications, experience of writing complex PQQ's and bid responses for Network Rail tenders.
Candidates will ideally have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline with ideally a number of years of Bid management experience.
