Location – Doncaster
Permanent Position - £65,000 - £70,000 pa

Our client is an established and experienced railway infrastructure contractor with an excellent track record of successfully delivering projects across the whole of the UK.
With over 70 years in the Rail Industry they are continuing to grow and have earned an excellent reputation for successfully delivery of projects.
You will need:
Essential:
Previous experience of Bid Management in an Engineering or Construction industry
- Strong IT skills
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Strong time Management and planning skills and a contracts background
- Excellent negotiation and leadership skills
- Full clean driving licence
- Some Project Management experience would be a definite advantage
The Role:
- To lead the “work winning” process of Projects by ensuring the delivery of professional quality bids to maximise the number of opportunities within our chosen market sector.
- This post requires the ability to close contracts by successfully negotiating with clients.
- Oversee bid management, making recommendations/taking action where necessary to ensure bid submissions are of optimum quality, and meet both ITT and Group requirements.
- Be the primary point of contact for the client organisation throughout the tender phase and probably post tender through to the win/lose decision.
- Maintain a close relationship with the Business Development Team to maintain awareness and knowledge of all incoming tender invitations.
- Ensure the timely completion of pre-qualification submissions to the professional quality expected from a leading construction contractor.
- Lead the process for the selection of individual Bid Teams and oversee the individual bid preparation process ensuring that the team are aware of requirements and timescales.
- Assess and provide gap analysis on the competency of incumbent bidding staff and coach and mentor the Bid Management and Production function.
- Develop and mentor the Projects Development Officer to ensure quality Pre-Qualification Documents are produced.
- Liaise with senior team members of our chosen partners in the preparation of joint venture bids.
- Liaise with each of the Regional Commercial Managers/Pre-Contract Commercial Director to ensure full commercial and contractual analysis of every bid.
