Ford & Stanley - The Rail Recruitment Experts are currently seeking to appoint a Communication Manager who can create a strategy for engaging with millions of customers and employees.
The Opportunity
The successful candidate will have the ability to provide a comprehensive, creative and pro-active communications service to the organisation. You will we responsible for developing and implementing a communication strategy in order to enhance the visibility of the company with the board, employees, clients and customers through a range of communication channels to enhance the company image and reputation with their clients and customers.
Location (s): Manchester
Role and Responsibilities
- Responsibility for the strategic management of the company's communications policy.
- Develop and implements a corporate style of internal communications that delivers a consistent message to the workface.
- Identify, develop and implement new communication initiatives which supports the company's missions statement.
- Support senior managers with preparations of speeches and presentations.
- Provide professional advice and guidance to the management team on communications to ensure they reflect key corporate objectives and style.
- Through professional and creative communications support the implementation of company initiatives involving the workforce.
- Plan and manage key annual company events.
- Informing staff of relevant media coverage.
- Produce daily news alerts and weekly news round up for distribution
- Working closely with out client on communication issues.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate must have experience with forward thinking in a communications environment ideally in a blue-collar industry. It is important you can demonstrate effective communication skills and able to evaluate communication campaigns, analysing and manipulating data to produce relevant reports.
Essentials
- Excellent IT skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience of commissioning and producing high quality content for a range of media, including intranet, newsletters and presentations.
- Must be self-motivated and pro active providing a positive contribution to the team.
