Rates - £338.31 Umbrella/Ltd or £301.88 PAYE.

About the role / project:
Network Rail require a Communications Manger to support the launch of the Thameslink Programme learning legacy website. They are looking for a Communications Manager who has strong Stakeholder engagement as this will be a key part of this role. All other responsibilities are outlined below:
What you will do:
- Media and public relations for the major Programmes in the route, including building working relationships with the editors and commercial teams of all key trade publications.
- Managing an annual forward calendar of potential media and thought leadership opportunities with these trade publications.
- Co-ordinating and making visible a forward calendar of proactive Programme milestones aligned with south east route grid requirements.
- Proactive media event planning and delivery with project teams and key partners.
- Supporting route team with responses to reactive media enquiries.
- Management of a core media briefing pack (including top lines, benefits, Q&A and key facts) for use by TLP partners and maintaining a current multimedia press kit for journalists.
- Co-ordination, production and approval of all supply chain submissions into industry award to ensure they mention Network Rail.
Your experience will include:
- Significant experience within corporate communications.
- Proven track record in public relations activity in a high-profile organisation.
- Excellent writing skills and ability to think strategically.
- Excellent influencing skills and ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Thorough knowledge of the media and how it operates.
