Configuration Manager in City of London, London, United Kingdom
Randstad CPE is looking for a Configuration manager to work on a Tier 1 major project in Central London.
Purpose of the role
- Definition and deployment of the configuration management process,
- Design change management,
- Follow up of PMIs (Crossrail Project Manager's Instruction) in the technical impact of the change of scope,
- Coordination of asset management with the different delivery teams.
Responsibilities
- To manage follow up of design changes and anomalies,
- To manage follow up of configuration item list,
- To manage the Project Configuration Baselines,
- To manage Asset Management for the Project,
- To track the progression of PMIs (Project Manager's Instructions) received -
- including dissemination for impact assessment by the Project,
- To deliver regular reports (documentation and configuration) to the
- Engineering Manager and the customer,
- To disseminate information to the team and project involved entities,
- To maintain and update the Project Configuration Management Procedure
- with the Engineering Manager and T&C Manager,
- Comply with the rules defined in the Configuration Management Procedure
- defined for the Project, and make sure those rules are understood and
- respected by all Project entities,
- To suggest improvements for their activity organisation (process, data base),
- To organise and chair Configuration Control Board meetings, as required, in which configuration changes) evolutions and/or modifications are decided.
Educational requirements
- A degree preferably within an engineering discipline and equivalent
- experience,
- Membership of the Institute of Configuration Management (CMII),
- Familiarity with EN ISO 10007: Quality Management Systems - Guidelines for Configuration Management.
