Position: Construction Manager, Rail
Location: Sevenoaks, Kent
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 + Company Benefits Package
Are you an experienced Construction / Site Manager looking for your next opportunity? This is a chance to join a Medium Sized self delivering infrastructure contractor who are specialists within maintenance and improvement works within the Rail industry.
As the Construction Manager you must be able to:
- Preparing the site and liaising with other construction professionals
- Developing the programme of work and strategy to carry this out
- Planning ahead to prevent problems on site before they occur
- Making safety inspections of the site when work is underway and ensuring regulations relating to health safety and the environment (HSE) are adhered to.
- Overseeing the running of several projects.
- Using construction management software packages to plan smooth work flows.
- Communicating with a range of people including the client, subcontractors, suppliers, the public and the workforce.

To do this role you must have:
- Previous experience in Construction Management
- Experience working on Network Rail projects
- Understanding of the construction process
- Familiarity with construction management software packages
- Good communication skills
- Competent crisis management
- Ability to problem solve, face customers and manage people
- Degree in Construction Management / Engineering OR previous experience in a trade e.g. joinery or carpentry (not required but advantageous)
