I am recruiting for a Construction Manager to join a growing civil engineering contractor who have recently won a 5 year framework contract for a major client in the South West region.

The Construction Manager will be responsible for the production of site safety documentation during the planning stages of projects, and other typical pre-construction requirements to get projects ready for a start on site.

The role will involve management and supervision of sub-contractors and in-house site delivery teams to deliver works safely, to specification and in accordance with contract programmes.
Experience in earthworks and civils projects will be essential to meet the demands of this multi-disciplinary contract. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of site management on a variety of projects, which is essential to fulfil the role.
Projects will include a wide variety of maintenance design and build schemes including earthworks, drainage and general civils disciplines.
You will be proficient at interpreting construction drawings and specifications, with good communication skills, frequently liaising with sub-contract designers and the delivery teams. Reporting to the regional Project Manager, the role will involve working on projects throughout the Western Region.

Skills required:

* Minimum 6 years site experience, demonstrating the delivery of earthworks and civils projects.
* Clear and effective communication skills
* Excellent organisational skills
* Good level of ability using Microsoft Office

QUALIFICATIONS
Ideally you will hold a forma qualification in Civil Engineering such as HNC, HND or degree. You must hold SMSTS and CSCS Card and also ideally have undertaken NVQ L6 Site Management and ILM Level 3/5

Salary and package available for this role is in the region of £35,000 to £40,000 per annum with company vehicle and excellent benefits package included.
