About:
A highly prestigious engineering and construction consultancy are seeking a Cost Manager to work on the UK's largest rail projects.
About the role:
As Cost Manager (Rail) - you will report to the Rail Project Director.
You will assist the project team by ensuring the protection of the contractual and financial obligations for the project.
Core competencies: -
- Preparing Cost Management reports for all asset
- Interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages
- Assisting in research related to construction market conditions throughout UK, including analysis of official published market data
- Working with Associate Directors and Directors to construct proposals for new work or variations for existing projects
- Attendance at Client and Business Development Events
- Pre and Post-contract cost management
- Ensuring that cost analysis, cost checking and valuation work is managed effectively
- Ensuring that post-contract cost variances and change control processes are managed effectively
- Preparation / Quantification of Cost Plan Reports including Measurement of detailed quantities and unit pricing
Person Specification: -
To be considered for this you will meet the following criteria: -
- A proven track record in cost management gained within a large infrastructure environment
- Ideally a degree in a relevant field of study
- Awareness of the rail industry
- Member of a professional body
