Cost Manager in Islington, London, United Kingdom
As Master Supply Partner, PSR Solutions are proud to be working in partnership with the UK arm of this leading international and multidisciplinary infrastructure construction company, specialising in the development and delivery of key infrastructure projects across the globe.
We are currently working on a number of the UK's most prestigious Major Projects and Alliance Partnerships, and have identified the need for this unique and newly created position within the UK business, based in their head office near Islington, London.
Reporting into the UK Head of Commercial and the Finance Director for the UK & France, this role is a key position linking the Finance and Commercial teams, and the wider delivery teams to successfully manage the reporting of business and project costs.
Key experience for this role includes a strong finance background as a Cost Manager or Finance Controller, with and understanding of commercial reporting processes within the UK construction industry.
Key deliverables will include;
- Cost control and analysis, trend analysis and reporting, creating financial forecasts and budgets.
- Earned Value analysis and production of CVR's.
- Leading and liaising between the Finance and Commercial Teams (office and project based).
- Excellent Excel skills and management of financial data,
You will be responsible for developing processes and procedures to ensure the accurate and timely reporting for the wider UK business, projects, alliance and JV contracts.
You will be able to demonstrate previous knowledge and experience in:
- Previous experience as a Cost Manager, Cost Engineer or Finance Controller, managing cost control.
- Previous construction or infrastructure experience is essential.
- Degree qualified or hold a relevant finance or commercial qualification including being ACCA qualified.
- Excellent knowledge of Excel and management of financial data is essential.
- Have strong track record in financial reporting, including an excellent knowledge of the Financial Reporting Standards.
- Understanding of cost control, cost management and reporting within the construction environment, including producing CVR's etc, and the regulatory environment and rules.
- Experience of leading financial and regulatory reporting end-to-end.
- Experience of dealing with regulators and external auditors.
- Experience of leading a Change initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills, able to communicate with multiple Stake Holders at all levels.
- Highly analytical with the ability to communicate key messages to a non-technical audience.
You will be Head Office based near Islington, with some flexible working and some travel to regional offices and Paris required. Benefits include London Weighting, Travel Allowance, Health Care and company bonus scheme.
