I'm currently recruiting for a Delivery Manager to work on a major Aviation project based in East London for a major construction / infrastructure company on a long term contract basis.
The Delivery Manager is responsible for the alignment of the overall package sequencing, assessment of interfacing capital investment projects and coordination of outputs on the development phase of a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project. Reporting to the Project Manager, the Delivery Manager supervises construction phase planning to demonstrate that the scheme can be delivered within the time frame without adversely affecting the operations of the airport or surrounding infrastructure is key to obtaining stakeholder endorsement and support.
Responsible for the three main areas: terminal and airfield, water course realignment and road and transport infrastructure, the Delivery Manager is managing a team of Construction Engineers for each area to develop the work packaging and sequencing, construction techniques and quantify construction resourcing.

- Recognised degree in an engineering, construction or scientific discipline, or specialised courses in construction management, and/or work experience leading to a thorough understanding of the discipline field activities.
- Good experience working on Airport or other public transportation terminals.
- More than 15 years of field experience on large infrastructure projects.
- Prior supervisory / managerial experience in leadership roles.
- Thorough knowledge of all phases of construction activities, including jobsite setup, construction, system turnover and final turnover.
- Thorough knowledge of constructability process, construction practices followed on the international jobsites.
- Thorough knowledge of construction processes and various other process, such as quantity and progress reporting, construction quality procedures, system turnover, interface with start-up and plant operation.
- Ability to review physical design through 3D Plant model.
- Knowledge of ES&H compliance requirements.
- Thorough knowledge of current industry standards and practices.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Proficient in computer applications like MS Office, Smart Plant Review and other computer based project applications used in EPC industry.
- Skilled in working collaboratively with others in a complex integrated environment.
