Job Summary
This person will work closely with the Bid Manager/Positioning Lead to prepare and develop work winning plans. This person will support the bid, developing requirements from client intelligence and issued bid documents. He/she will be charged with assisting to devising a bid programme, agreeing key deliverables, managing inputs from Subject Matter Experts and driving progress through to successful submission. The DBM will work collaboratively with technical leads, members of the End Market teams, Bid Studio writers, graphic designers and the Bid Studio leadership team. The DBM will manage databases, client portals and internal tender sharepoint sites throughout the whole lifecycle of opportunities.
Job Duties:
- Collaborate with all parties to deliver winning submissions
- Promote a culture of success and drive a winning strategy
- Assist in leading an effective bid team, identify and brief contributors from across the business and help manage, motivate and support them throughout the programme
- Help to facilitate workshops/planning meetings including working with key proposal contributors to establish a clear win strategy and develop storyboard content
- Assist the Bid Manager in managing the compliance and overseeing reviews of the quality and commercial content
- Gather essential client information from the Strategy & Growth team. Driving the process to research the client’s aspirations and sharing this knowledge and intelligence with the team.
- Promote the use of AECOM’s work winning processes and tools
- Assist in developing the requirements for each bid in a clear and easy-to-understand way
- Contribute to preparing and managing the bid budget
- Manage and maintain version control for bid documents and issuing them to the appropriate functions for response/review/signature in line with the bid programme
- Instill a culture where others share knowledge, insights and learning
- Identify and share lessons learned as inputs to the continuous improvement of the Bid Studio’s process and tools
- Support the Head of Bid Management and Coordination to drive professionalism and efficiency in the Bid Studio and on the bids on which it works.
- Promote the development of (a) people and (b) the behavior and culture necessary to win, including supporting junior colleagues to develop their bidding skills
- Train teams to prepare for client interviews and presentations
Specific Skills Required:
- Use this field to enter mandatory and specific skills required for your position.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word,
- Strong Visio skills preferred
- In design knowledge preferred
- Client portals management
Minimum Requirements
- Previous experience in a Bid co-ordination post
- Experience in an engineering bidding field ideally consultancy however construction would also be considered
- Knowledgeable in bid management processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent preferred but not essential
