Purpose of Job

Responsible as Technical Regulation & Standardisation Officer for Electrium being in accordance with the Corporate TR&S strategy and with the operating needs

Liaise with internal stakeholders to identify product development opportunities

Lead and co-ordinate the strategic technical & standardisation activities including relevant Bsi, BEAMA, IET Wiring Regulations, Building Regulations & Environmental technical committees

Identifying trends in Circuit Protection and Wiring Accessory technology to provide input into Company digital strategy

Develop supply chain strategy for both high and low volume products to be brought into the product portfolio

Develop Electrium and Crabtree South Africa's digital product platform in accordance with latest Technology and Market Requirements

Lead the strategic technical and standardisation activities for the Electrium businesses

Key tasks

Ensure processes and systems are LEAN, effective and as efficient as possible through process management and re-engineering

Research into key, relevant future trends through internal and external sources

Provide technical input into product development meeting company strategy

Engage and lead colleagues on digitalisation journey

Develop digital product roadmap and platform in accordance with technology and market requirements

Select and integrate strategic partners for the supply of hardware and software requirements to support the portfolio

Assist in the selection of new suppliers for the digital product platform together with Procurement, SCM, Product Management, Quality & R&D

Evaluate developments with Siemens product portfolio for adoption into the Electrium & Crabtree South Africa product portfolio
