A leading client in the Rail Industry is recruiting for a Senior Engagement Manager to work in Manchester on a long-term contract basis.
JOB PURPOSE
Lead the development and implementation of a plan to identify and engage all stakeholders so that stakeholder issues and potential petitions are identified and escalated.
To maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders within the Manchester area and represent the client at a senior level within the area.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Managing relationships with all stakeholders, including local authorities,
MPs, communities and property owners.
Developing and implementing a plan with Engineering, Environment and Property colleagues to
ensure all stakeholders are engaged as a minimum to the standard set out in the engagement strategy.
Identifying and escalating stakeholder issues and potential petitions
central engagement team.
Lead a diverse functional team, setting objectives, reviewing performance and participating in
selection/promotion decisions to ensure that staff have the necessary skills and understanding to
deliver the team's objectives.
Ensuring robust and auditable records management is maintained across all engagement activity.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE:
Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with a range of stakeholders, including community leaders and representatives, local authorities and MPs, business groups and property owners.
Proven track record of planning and delivering engagement across a diverse range of stakeholders.
Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels of the organisation, and with the full range of external stakeholders.
Excellent planning & organisational skills and an ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Ability to manage a large, diverse, skilled and geographically dispersed team.
